Get ready for a new age in Television, the government has advise us that the switch to Digital TV will commence during 2012. Now is the time to think about how this will effect you. There are two types of Digital TV, Satellite and Terrestrial. Satellite TV is avilable pretty much all over New Zealand. If you can see the northern sky you will get the service using a dish, this however is not available in High Definition. In order to get HD you need to get the Terrestrial service which currently covers 75% of the country being expanded to 84% over the next 2 years. Please note the TV's that have FreeView inbuilt are only for FreeView HD and do not work on the Satellite system. If you are outside the HD coverage area you will need a Satellite Decoder available from $130 from our website.
